Hey Marvin, which blue paint comes closest to the Strike Freedom/Freedom’s blue? or I should be asking… Which blue did you use for your Strike Freedom? ^^; It’s very hard for me to shop for paint by looking at questionable “sample” images on the internet…
I need it for MG SF’s beam rifle’s cover. We all know how fabulous the blue foil stickers will make it look…
hey Z, for this strike freedom, I used tamiya flat blue, although it doesn’t match the original blue on the strike freedom. unfortunately I think you’d need to mix colors to get this one exactly right. unless you’re open to painting all of the blue parts.
ahh I see. I have that blue too and I tested it on a white runner… it isn’t the flat blue I was hoping it to be. It looks more dark blue than blue. I guess my other choice is to squeeze out the paint from the SEED blue Gundam Marker I have. I could always check out the mix ratio to get the right blue. Thanks for in the info though ^_^
if I’m not mistaken the ratio mix for strike freedom is Blue 40%, Black 30%, Red 20%, White 10% with gunze paint, but you’d have to check on the manual just to be sure. but if you use tamiya paint here is the reference chart: http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/stuff_eng_colorcharts_gunze.htm
