WST Dinobots: Grimlock

November 26, 2006 By: marvin Category: Toys and Goodies 2 Comments →

use to watch Transformers while I was growing up. and among my favorite character and toy was the Dinobot Grimlock, a transformer who could change into a Tyrannosaurus Rex then chew up and spit out enemy robots like half eaten gum. unfortunately my original Transformer grimlock has already disappeared into the farthest reaches of toy oblivion. however as fate has it, While I was walking around a local mall one day, I happened to chance upon a store which sold a miniature verson of my favorite toy. ^^
Dinobot Grimlock
the WST Dinobot by Justitoys is an exact replica of the old Dinobot toy by hasbro. I was so happy with the find that I just had to take pictures of it as soon as I opened it. ^^

Gundam Down!

November 26, 2006 By: marvin Category: Model Kits, Gundam, Random Rants 2 Comments →

The holiday season is near, so you better watch out since they’re coming to town? No, I’m not talking about the Jolly fellow with a belly like a tub full of jelly and his trusty reindeers. I’m talking about relatives and their children. but more specifically the children.
lets face it, every kid loves gundams. and keeping them high up on a shelf just encourages them to grab the nearest chair, climb up, swipe the gundams from your display, run around and knocking it into every piece of furniture you have or worst against each other. and today’s kiddie shenanigans literally costs me an arm and a leg. more specifically my Strike Freedom’s arms and my Destiny Gundam’s Leg. (ToT;)> If there are market researchers out there reading this, these are the two more popular toys kids would want to have their parents buy again and again after they beat the living daylights off it. :p
Strike Freedom

Destiny
I’ve already started repairing these kits, and although the broken arm on the Strike Freedom could easily be remedied with a bit of super glue, I’m stil bewildered on how they were able to break the polycap joint on the destiny in half. hopefully I’ll be able to find a polycap of the same size in my gundam graveyard.
however with all the kids running around during the time, I guess I should at least be thankful they didn’t decide on playing with my Master Grade and Perfect Grade kits. ^^
