Canon Lens. ^^
Finally got my Clammy hands on some decent lenses for the Canon EOS 400D. I got the EF-S 17-85MM f4-5.6 IS USM as a replacement for my stock lens. and an EF-S 60mm f/2.8 macro USM for those nice closeup shots.
Now since I’m starting off as a beginner DLSR enthusiast. I had to rely on other people’s comments and reviews posted on the web. however if anybody should decide on buying just one lens I would recommend getting the EF-S 17-85mm f4-5.6 IS USM, since its the most versatile standard telephoto lens canon has to offer today. This particular lens can take shots using Telephoto Zoom, wide angle, and even focus up to 1.2 feet for macro phtography. The Image Stabilizer on the lens is also another much welcomed feature, it allows the photographer to take a respectable quality picture in low light even without the use of a tripod. However with the price tag it had, I personally would have expected a free Lens hood, pouch or a protector filter.
the second lens is the EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM, I wanted a good Macro lens that would allow me to take shots of my gundams and figures without the constraint of having to stay more than a foot away from the subject. luckily this particular lens allows a minimum focusing distance of 0.7 feet. allowing me close in and see the whites of those figure’s big anime eyes. however I wouldn’t have known about this particular lens if not for Danny Choo’s reference. If you’re reading this Danny, Thank you!!! ^^ anyways here are some shots made using the EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM, enjoy all. ^^
