going around BC in a tour bus right now, the great thing about Canada is that some if not most of the hotel offer free internet connection. unfortunately I left the power cord of my laptop back in Vancouver. Doh! I feel like kicking myself on the head, but I guess I can just post the rest of the pictures when I get back. however until then here are some of the pictures so far…

First stop Grandville Island, tho it might not count as a road trip stop, its still a cool palace to visit in Vancouver. the place used to be a warehouse port area but the developers decided to turn it into a shopping/market area. there are small shops that sell trinkets and souvenirs and a market where people might find good deals on fresh food and produce. ^^

Going over to Squamish to check out Shannon Falls

Spectacular View Shannon falls. it’s spring right now so waters would flow down exuberantly from all the melting snow but during winter the whole falls would freeze up leaving a spectacular frozen display.

right now we are staying at the Fairmont hot springs resort. unfortunately my wife caught a case of chicken pox. good thing she doesn’t have the fever or anything, just the watery bumps on the belly and back. hopefully it’ll be gone soon.

Went over to ultra action toys again a few days ago and asked if I could take pictures of the figures they have on display. to my delight they said “sure, why not”.

Figures eh!? but who’s the bloke blocking the rest of the display on the back? oh it’s just me. lol

thank God for business class airport lounges. now I can blog while waiting to board. lol I’m a bit excited now that I’m going back to Vancouver. ^^ wonder how much has change since the last time I was there.

went back to take a 2nd picture of the 1/12 HY2M RX-78 Gundam at Sogo. then as I was setting up my camera, a lady walks up to me and starts talking to me in real fast in cantonese… she probabaly noticed my bewildered look so she starts doing movements like someone taking a camera while continuing to talk in Cantonese. so I said OH OHHHKKKAYEEE… and I handed her the camera and posed beside the HY2M. she gave me a flustered look and pointed on the chinese words on glass.
unfortunately my Chinese reading skills gives me as much word comprehension as reading chicken scratch made by dyslexic monkeys. it wasn’t until she said “can not take pictures” until I understood what she meant. lol. oh well, My apologizes to the people of Sogo for some of the pictures on my previous post.    

I’ve got a feeling that I spent a lot more time shopping than I did sleeping yesterday. lol oh well, I guess it’s expected, I’m in Hong Kong after all. ^^ All in all I had a really fun day, the only blemish of the day would probably be the darn old filipina hag who persistently and consistently cut everyone on the breakfast buffet line. how did I know what nationality she was? well that was because she was constantly yacking off with someone while cutting people on the line. the only reason why nobody dared tell her off was probably because she looked like a pitbull who’d bite off your leg if you didn’t let her have her have her morning doughnut. anyway, enough of my rants, its about time I showed the good stuff. ^^ here are the stuff I bought, didn’t buy, couldn’t buy and had to buy. ^^

the MG Hi-nu Gundam! yessssss! ^^ probably gonna be a pain to take back home with its gigantic box, but a cool gundam nonetheless. and the Gundam Musou PS3 game! whoooohoooooo! I scurry and scuttled into the first electronic store I could find and asked for this game. unfortunately my frown was continually drooping down towards the ground as they would tell me that it was sold out. fortunately I finally found one at the Sogo department store near our hotel. ^^

a strange looking PG aile strike gundam + skygrasper pack. wonder if this was a extra finish edition… or a extra finish box edition. ^^

the 1/12 HY2M RX-78! before anyone fall off their chair, the $35999 on top is HKD not USD. lol but then again buying a gundam for that price, I’d still fall off my chair. lol

what the?!? My Melody stuff you say? no I don’t have a daughter and yes I’m definitely straight. ^^ My wife absolutely adores My Melody so had to spend some moolah on Melody stuff. ^^ not that I’m complaining, but its a pity these stuff didn’t come in gundam. lol. strange thing tho… I distictly remember pestering my mom to buy me some melody sticker at a sanrio store back when I was six or seven. hmmmm…. :p
on a side note, people like us who likes My Melody should check out the anime ?????????? (My Melody, Please). they have an official site on tv tokyo. or check out the DVD at playasia. I wonder where I could find one with english subtitle
