Gundamaniac

Finally done with the RX-78-2 Ver Ka. I decided to use the real type color scheme on it since I personally thought it looks better. ^^ however unfortunately I screwed up the paint job on the mid-chest area. ToT I’ll probably re-sand and repaint it once I find the time. ^^;


made some mistakes with the chest armor. might need to repaint that particular area. ToT

Sneezing while applying decals can be hazardous to your gundam. ^^;

Haven’t really finished the kit yet. there are still some weapons I haven’t started to assemble. however I am having second thoughts on actually painting and building the bazooka. :p but still, the real type colored RX-78-2 does look cool enough even without it. ^^

If you like the Sanrio Character My Melody then this figure is a definite must get. My wife absolutely adores My Melody. so I decided to order this figure for her in hopes that she’d get a sense of appreciation for collecting these stuff. ^^ unfortunately as it turned out she only has an appreciation of collecting My Melody stuff. lol the figure is from the anime Onegai My Melody. An anime which I can’t seem to find subbed in english, otherwise I would have gotten her the anime as well. ^^

Kurumi and Destroy Gundam Bullying Melody

GP01 to the rescue!

Gundam seed fans would remember the Destroy Gundam as the giant sized gundam piloted by Stella Loussier that was sent out to destroy Berlin. Zeta fans would remember it as the Psyco Gundam rip off. ^^ however no one can ever deny that it’s one big sucker of a gundam. so the 1/200 HCM-Pro should be just as big compared to the other HCM-Pro gundam.
in any case here is the low down on the HCM-Pro Destroy Gundam:

MS mode: looks like an ugly duckling. ^^ although I have to say the destroy has the better looking MS configuration as compared to the Psyco Gundam’s MS mode.

The Good: Color Separation and Detailing on the HCM Pro Destroy Gundam looked great as usual, typical to most if not all of the gundams on the HCM-Pro line

another good: the destroy came with an anti-ship sword for the impulse and another stand for either the impulse gundam or the sturm faust detachable arm of the destroy.

The bad: the destroy back pack was so big that it needs a separate stand to support the weight.

here’s another shot of the stand: fits snugly right under the afterburners, aft or rear end of the gundam… which ever you might want to call it. ^^

The Ugly: I’m not sure if it was a defect for just my particular Destroy gundam but it seems that this part of the gundam wasn’t cast properly.

Given that the uglies mentioned apply only on this particular Destroy gundam and not on the other one out there, I’d say it would be worth getting if you are into collecting the Gundam Seed HCM-Pro line. the gundam costs about 5850 yen. that’s less than $50usd for a 1/200 HCM-Pro about the size of a MG 1/100 gundam. probably a good enough price for a gundam this size. so if you do have the extra moolah for it, I’d say go for it. unless of course you loathe the Destroy, in which case I don’t think you should be reading this particular post at all. ^^ lol
