MG Strike Freedom Decals
It seems like work has been driving me nuts lately, fortunately I had the weekends to wind down and relax, and spent some of that time to put some decals on to the MG Strike Freedom I built a week ago. ^^
I can’t seem to remember where in the web I ordered these Strike Freedom decals, although I do remember Subaruhess from Figure.fm refered the site to me a while back. but if I ever remember the url and the name of the decal printers I’ll just edit and add the name onto this post.
Decals have a way of making gunplas look cool although thinking about it a bit more, I wonder if the acutally apply labels on armaments in the real world. it feels kinda silly going into a battle and anouncing to the enemy the armaments that you carry. hey driver of the Destiny Gundam wanna see my MA-M21KF high-energy beam rifle? taste some lead from my MMI-M15E “Xiphias 3? rail cannon! I bet you don’t have a MGX-2235 “Callidus” multi-phase beam cannon mounted on the torso like I do… well you get the point. lol ^^;
although it does help non-enthusiast or people who are new to Gundams to identify them if they had labels on their stands.
now my Strike Freedom looks a bit more pimped up.
unfortunately in the attempt to protect the decals, I used mr. super clear on my strike freedom unknowingly that one should not use it during hot and humid condition. This is how it looked like after application
my Strike Freedom looks like it had a battle in a snow storm. I’m thinking of repainting it, but I get too depressed just by looking at it. (T-T) maybe next time after I get to build a MG Destiny. then again I could probably capitalize on my mistake and make a diorama of the two gundam in a snow battle… but I’ll just have to save that thought for next time. ^^

Well, you know…it really looks like in snow…really…in great snowfall…brrr, and winter coming closer…idea with diorama not bad at all…

[…] got myself off my lazy bum and did some repainting on my White Zaft Strike Freedom. I sort of ruined it a while back by unwittingly using Mr Super Clear spray on a humid rainy day. (sorry for not pushing through […]

Very well done mg kit. I got the same problem with mr super clear flat spray as well. Really hated it. Nonetheless, i bought quite a few cans of these and they are left idle at home. I m currently using tamiya flat and gloss clear coat for all my gunplas.

thank you Jerry, the only problem was I was using it while it was raining. else it would have probably turned out okay. ^^; however about the strike freedom, I did end up repainting it a month later. ^^;
