One of the more unique stores in the building near the Kotobukiya shop was the one that had these sort of otaku consignment lockers. a person can stuff in whatever gashapon, figures, built gundams, idol dvds, maid uniform, otaku tissue paper, candy girl head etc. stick in the price they want for each item and wait for another fellow otaku to buy the goods they stuffed in the glass locker. as for me, I found a new home for an abandoned Shuraki Akatsuki Mishiro figure. ^^ will be posting images of her hopefuly soon.

It’s inevitable. Everyone who visits to Japan would always return to Akihabara. and if time permits, one would try to go there more than once in a trip. however if one would visit Akihabara on a weekend, one would find the highway closed so that pedestrians can walk freely across to shop. ^^


Unfortuantely for me I couldn’t finish and get pass one building up until sundown. check out the building near the Akihabara station where the Kotobukiya shop is at.

Anyone interested in gashapon in balls

why get an HY2M if you can get yourself a one of a kind, giant sized Optimus Prime.

or a life size Ayanami Rei.

however, not all of the notable stuff in the building comes in giant size. it’s also a place where one might find “parts paradise”. read about it once on DannyChoo.com, here one can buy gundam kit parts that they broke or need for kit bashing.

Harajuku

When traveling to Japan with your girlfriend/wife or your girl friend and your wife. I would suggest you bring her/them to Harajuku. then while she’s busy looking around the shops, make a mad dash to the subway and make your way to Akihabara. ^^

This place caters to the more hip or younger generation. so if your partner is more advanced in age or is simply a big spender, there’s always Roponggi Hills. then again if you took her there, you probably won’t have any cash to spare for Akihabara anymore. ^^

Occasionally, you’d find some people dressed up in gothic loli costumes out in the streets. and traveling around Harajuku you’ll find the shops where they got their gothic getup. ^^

Kiddyland

somewhere between Harajuku and Omote Sando, one would find this building filled with toys for kids aged 5 to 500. ^^ I’m not entirely sure if kiddyland is situated in area of Harajuku or Omote Sando, but one would find that it’s within walking distance from the Omote Sando subway station. Once there, distract your girlfriend/wife/kids with the stuff on the other four floors and quickly make your way to the fifth floor.

good thing they had all these Sanrio My Melody stuff to distract my wife with. ^^

Making your way up you’d find Ayanami Rei and a garbage bin bidding you welcome, as you find more mecha goodies than your wallet can handle.


and if you find yourself a tad bit tired from running up all that flight of stairs, they also serve UCC Eva coffee. ^^

Condomania
Children please don’t read on. ^^
Probably one of the stranger shops in Japan, Condomania sells… yup you guessed it right. Condoms and sex paraphernalia

need a spiderman to save the day? ^^
