120GB USB Flash? yeah right!
Walking around a bargain shop mall I found these curious looking USB flash drives. apparently this particular group of shops in Shanghai is so technologically advanced, they already have 120 gigabyte thumbdrives on sale. I said to myself “yeah right, these are the people who sell iphones like this” (product clearly looks more like a iPhony than an iPhone). ^^
however the guy was selling them for around 10usd, so I’ll be worth it, even if the flash drive just turned out to be a 1 gigabyte USB drive. so I decided to get a 64 gigabyte one, brought it back to the hotel room and plugged it to my laptop just to test it out. to my suprise, the drive did register as a 64gb removable device. but still being skeptical I tried to copy in 5 gigabytes worth of images into it, the files did write into the drive, however when I tried to preview the images, everything registered as corrupted. suffice to say all I got myself is a 10 dollar keychain. ^^

Yeah, you can never really trust these places. I had a friend who bought a 128 gB model, and it ended up being only 64 mB >_>

lol I agree, people shouldn’t trust dodgy deals from places like these. Its sad though how people like these give China a bad name.

Archer glad to have help. I hate how these guys try to make money in expense of giving China a bad name.
David, try opening the files. mine would copy the files but once I try to open the files only one or two of them would work.

I bought one from China, 120gb. Brought it home, transferred the data across, no problem. Went to access the files and they were either corrupt or not there. They certainly do know how to give China a bad name.

I agree, the government should round them up and give them a mandatory seminar on business ethics.
