Master Grade Sazabi

MG Sazabi
Always wanted a master grade Sazabi, but have been putting it off since I knew that I’d be too lazy to paint it. however, ever since Bandai announced that they’d be releasing a metalLic coRting MG Sazabi, I’ve decided its time to burn a hole on my pocket and get one for myself. ^^ Never mind the fact that I already own a miniature sized HCM-Pro Sazabi, (check out the images of the HCM-Pro Sazabi here and here for images of it battling the HCM-Pro Nu Gundam) the shiny metalic red mono-eyed mobile suit is simply too cool to pass up.

However I did find the mono eye transfer sticker was a bit too bland, so I decided to spice it up and mod the Sazabi’s eye by replacing it with an LED. LED comes standard on perfect grade gundam kits, and are powered by a tiny flat 3v battery. but it can also be mod to use the power from a usb power source. check out this post to know how to mod your Gundams to USB power.

but if there’s one thing I can’t find a remedy for while building the metalic coated Sazabi, it is the sprue marks. cutting the parts from the runners leaves marks on the part. unfortunately I can’t cover up the mark since there is no way I can find paint that matches the part.

In any case, even with a few minor visible sprue stub, the Sazabi still comes out as a visually stunning kit. I daresay it’ll prove worth the 14000 yen you’d be needing to shell out for it. ^^
