Gundam Strike-E IWSP
Have been building the Strike-E Gundam IWSP Lukas O’Donnel Custom for a while now, and only got to finish it 2 days ago. so I decided to take some shots of my newly finished Gundam last night. speaking of last night, hope everybody would induldge my little off topic comment, but I got invited to a dinner event at Shangrila Grand Tower last night, and won a lunch/dinner for two at their posh buffet restaurant and a free massage at luxurious Chi Spa Edsa Shangrila. Must be my lucky rabbit’s foot or most likely my lucky pregnant wife. LOL
Anyway back to the gundam, I was actually originally hesitant on getting a MG Strike. Especially one with an Integrated Weapons Striker Pack, since I already have the PG Strike and the Resin IWSP for PG Strike by G-System shop.
With no new MG release that made me go “oohhh, aaahh” during the time I wanted to build a kit, I decided to build the best looking gundam I could find.
Loved the fact that it had a lot of weapons and extra hands. felt like I was playing with a giantsized GFF than a MG kit. ^^ Strange thing though, the Strike-E doesn’t have a beam saber. the closest thing would be the beam boomerang. but then again with the number of weapons this gundam has, what would he need a beam saber for? ^^
Personally I find building MG gundams kits Theraputic, granted it eats up a lot of time and is a lot of work to paint. But building them somehow relieves stress. I even heard from a very reliable source that it stimulates the brain. ^^
I usually paint my gundams with flat colours, this time however I decided to do something new, and paint the Strike-E bright and shiny. thus the silver paint job. ^^ hope everyone likes it. ^^
I’ll be posting some more images here, the rest can be viewed on the gallery tab or below at the end of this post.

with the Grand Slam Sword.
the gundam is actually more possable without the IWSP restricting its joints.
anyway for more images, here is the image gallery.

IWSP is best pack for Strike IMHO. And Strike E is best from Srikes. Looks good.
BTW, how’s your wife?

Nice marv..
I’m not really into gunpla lately… and I don’t like figures/models w/ lotsa accessories..
But am planning to get that MG Musha Gundam when it comes out. Do you think the musha gundam’s golden parts were painted?

Nicely done Marvin! Great job. ^^ Now your Strike E looks like it’s an limited plated MG by Bandai
Personally, I’m not a big fan of IWSP. I think the pack is a bit too big for the upper body to handle. But this MG is full of weapons and equipments to pose the Gundam with, so for the fun of assembling Gunpla, I would say it’s a great kit.
I’m not getting one though, I have the black Strike Noir already XD
And to samejima, I think all the golden parts for MG Shin Musha Gundam will be of similar color used on the golden frame of MG Freedom Gundam.

Samejima, that’s sad to hear, but I guess each person should find what makes them happy, maybe gunpla isn’t the one for you. btw looks like Ngee Khiong answered the question. ^^
Gordon, not really. ^^ getting that along with this might be over indulgent. ^^;
Homemade Otaku, thank you, however don’t sell yourself short like that. all you would need are the right tools, probably a tutorial and a positive attitude.
Ngee Khiong, Thank you Ngee Khiong, and thanks for answering Samejima’s question. ^^

Heheh… thanks Marv & Ngee Khiong for answering my Q. Looks like I’ll make sure to get that Musha Gundam alright… while the Unicorn Gundam made me drool, it’s still too challenging for me…hehe.. I don’t want to break any parts sooner or later during the building process…

Samejime, you’ve built MGs before haven’t you? it’s practically the same wth just a little bit more parts toput together.
May 24th, 2008 at 7:20 pm
Yup… Have built 3 MGs… RGM Type C, Gundam G-04, and Turn-A gundam…but haven’t got the mood lately… last model built was HGUC ReGZ(almost destroyed the v-fin)…and I want the HGUC Nu Gundam…

Samejima, if you have built these MG kits before, I don’t think you’ll have a problem building the unicorn. the only hitch I can see is the overwhelming number of parts. ^^

The more reason why I don’t have the right mood building it.hahah… but I’ll just try if ever I purchase from Wasabitoys.
