Building a Musha Gundam Warrior
Started work on the Shin Musha Gundam Yesterday, took me a while to actually start building the Gundam since I decided to repaint the gold parts and ink those panel lines before I start the actual building. Didn’t bother painting the other parts since seeing how good it looked on other sites without paint. And though I haven’t got around to take some shot of how much of the gundam I’ve finished, there were some thoughts on the Shin Musha kit I’d like to share. Some praises to Bandai on putting in a little extra here and there to make a gunpla builder’s job a little easier.
I’m not sure about the MG Impulse, however the Shin Musha’s manual had this nifty “needed parts list” on each panel. Quite handy! since now you can precut the parts off the runners before assembling. The last MG gunpla I built was the MG Lukas’ Strike-E IWSP, I remember that the manual had “needed runner letters” intead of this.
I have already blogged about this back while I was building the Turn A Gundam, however a brilliant innovation like this deserves another mentioning. Gunpla runner labels these days are holed into the runner label rather than the traditional embossed letter. Certainly this wouldn’t be different for the Shin Musha. However since the Shin Musha do borrow some parts from the old OYW RX-78-2 Gundam, it would be logical and inevitably excusable that the Musha would have some parts without the holed letters. One thing I noticed though that the Musha doesn’t have a tiny 1/100 pilot. I wonder doesn’t the MG OYW have a tiny 1/100 pilot as well?
in any case, the Shin Musha Gundam is one fun kit to build. personally I find it as an easy build, although it’s probably because I spent some time building the screw infested PG Wing Zero’s arm. However since I do have a lot of work these next few days, I’ll probably won’t be finishing this kit soon. so until then check out fudoushin’s review on the Shin Musha Gundam.
